In 2011, the Jeevan Jyothi Trust opened an occupational therapy class. Since January, 2013, the project grew to become a an occupational center, hosted in the Hostel for girls in Kollegal. The center welcomes children aged 6 to 18 suffering from partial, temporary or definitive deficiencies and not adjusting for studies or work. Beneficiaries are mainly children issued from families living far away from the center residents at JJT Hostel. Those with families residing closer to the center, return home at the end of the day. The Centre offers recreational, individual and collective activities, allowing the preservation of acquired experiences and a social and cultural opening.
